MEET THE CREW

The People Behind the Too Shallow Experience

CAPTAIN
Captain Gareth Walsh

Gareth grew up on the coastline of Durban, South Africa, and earned a degree in Graphic Design before pursuing a career in hospitality across the United States. Drawn to adventure, he transitioned into yachting, where he has spent over a decade—including thirteen Atlantic crossings and a three-month voyage from South Africa to the Caribbean on a 30-foot catamaran. He later worked on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, deepening his appreciation for marine life. Now in his thirteenth year in yachting, Gareth continues to thrive on the water, always chasing his next adventure.
